_{Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Jones worked with the 37th Armor Brigade to develop training for three battalions prior to their deployment in the Global War on Terror.}

_{LTC Jones has demonstrated an outstanding knowledge of the MDMP, staff processes, field operations of combat battalions, the planning, execution and assessment of operations, the After-Action Review process and the development of subordinates within the Battle Staff Training Team.}

_{LTC Jones has an outstanding knowledge of the MDMP and is often asked to assist with battalion and brigade staffs with refresher training. His ability to mentor as well as teach is demonstrated by the fact he is often asked to return to units to conduct more training and mentoring.}

_{LTC Jones was asked to assist with the initial training of the staff in the MDMP to develop Standard Operating Procedures and to develop a training plan for the battalion which supported the battalion’s Mission and the Mission Essential Task List (METL)}

_{LTC Jones’ commitment to excellence and his ability to build effective teams is remarkable and clearly noted in the quality of his work and the subsequent performance of battalion and brigade staffs who have trained under his direction. More importantly, he has the ability to communicate effectively with soldiers of all ranks. He is the most effective exercise team leader in the unit.}
